Principal's Message
By Mr. Frank Kuzniewski, John Mills Elementary School Principal
Welcome to the John Mills School website! As your principal, I'm excited to welcome you to the 2025-2026 school year. I am fortunate to work alongside two assistant principals, Ms. Petrino and Ms. Green, along with a team of educators and staff members who are committed to every student’s success.
Our special theme this year is "Packing for Success." This idea will help us all focus on what our students need to do great things, both in school and in life.
Imagine getting ready for a big trip. You would pack everything you need, right? "Packing for Success" is about helping our students gather the important "tools" and "supplies" they'll need to be their absolute best. We're not asking them to pack their favorite Squishmallows, just good habits, a growth mindset, and a positive attitude.

Throughout the year, we will focus on "packing" things like: knowledge, curiosity (No extra baggage fees for this kind of packing!), kindness, respect, perseverance, effort, problem solving skills, and responsibility. These things teach students to have the courage to try their best, even when things are hard, and to learn from mistakes; learning ways to think through challenges and find answers; and learn to manage their feelings and take charge of their actions and learning.
We believe that by "packing" these important qualities, our students will be ready for every challenge and opportunity that comes their way.
You can help us "pack for success" at home by encouraging these qualities every day, celebrating their efforts, and talking about what it means to be ready, responsible, and respectful in school and life.
I look forward to this adventure of "Packing for Success" together with all of you!
With Trojan Pride,
Mr. Frank Kuzniewski
