John Mills Celebrates Valentines Day

John Mills celebrated an early Valentine's Day today!

To fit in the festivities before a day of no school tomorrow, students came dressed in pink and red, ready to share goodies with their classmates. 

Each classroom decorated bags to collect their valentines and took turns passing out individual treats to their friends. Some handed out candies and goody bags, some like 2nd-grade student Gabriela Lomeyer handmade cards.

Besides passing out cards, the snacks throughout the day were Lomeyer’s favorite. 

“I like the cookies best!” she said. 

Lomeyer is in Denise Penzek’s classroom, where Penzek passed out sugar cookies and poppit keychains to the kids.
